La biodiversité des stromatopores, des tabulés et des brachiopodes du Dévonien des Ardennes. Modifications à travers le temps

L’analyse de la biodiversité des stromatopores, des tabulés et des brachiopodes des Ardennes (707 taxons) est réalisée, par étages, du Lochkovien au Famennien. La diversité de chacun de ces groupes est parfois liée à des paramètres externes (par exemple, les faciès) ou à des variations intrinsèques (par exemple, le déclin des brachiopodes au Givétien). Les faunes sont étudiées au niveau des ordres et dans quelques cas, si nécessaire, au niveau des familles. Un pic unique de diversité, centré sur le Givétien, est observé pour les bioconstructeurs et deux pics principaux, à l’Emsien –Eifelien et au Frasnien pour les brachiopodes. Les Stromatoporellida (stromatopores), les Favositida (tabulés) et les Spiriferida (brachiopodes) sont les plus diversifiés. Deux périodes de changement des faunes sont observées pour les stromatopores, quatre pour les tabulés et cinq pour les brachiopodes.
