Oceanosuchus boecensis n. gen, n. sp., un pholidosauridé marin (Crocodylia, Mesosuchia) du Cénomanien inférieur de Normandie

Un squelette partiellement conservé de crocodilien, comprenant un crâne et une mandibule sub-complets, provenant des dépôts marins du Cénomanien inférieur de Normandie, est décrit comme un nouveau genre et une nouvelle espèce de Pholidosauridae (Mesosuchia), Oceanosuchus boecensis. Diagnose du genre et de l’espèce: Pholidosauridae mésorostre (index rostral 66 % comparé aux 74 % de Terminonaris robusta et 75 % de Sarcosuchus imperator, le « moins » longirostre de la famille), symphyse mandibulaire courte (11 alvéoles post-symphysaires), pas de fenêtre mandibulaire externe, os préarticulaire présent, paire de tubérosités à la base des centra des vertèbres cervicales.
